Blended online and face-to-face
Alternatively, we also offer a blended online theory learning and assessment component of up to 3 hours followed by a 2 hour face-to-face practical learning and assessment component at our premises for $150.Once you have booked into this course you will be given a link to our on-line portal where you will find the handbook, PowerPoint PDF’s and written theory assessment. Upon completion you simply upload the completed assessment which will be marked within 48 hours of receipt and you will be notified of you result.If unsuccessful in the theory assessment you will be contacted by a trainer to discuss the errors of the theory assessment and what is required to achieve a satisfactory result you will be given time to address the elements and resubmit for further marking. A satisfactory result will prompt us to contact you to arrange a suitable time for the practical component.

MSMWHS217 Gas Test Atmospheres

You will be taught the necessary skills to prepare for gas testing, test gas and maintain equipment. This will include;

This course will cover the following topics:

Type of Gas/Atmosphere to be tested
Selecting equipment
Identify hazards and implement control measures
Interpret and report readings
Take action for unacceptable readings
Communicate actions
Clean, maintain, inspect and fault find equipement
Maintain records

This course is suitable for anyone with the ability to understand, read and write English to a satisfactory level for working in Australia.

On successful completion of this course participants will be presented with a Statement of Attainment  for the Nationally Recognised Unit of Competency
