Do you work with hazardous gases?
Our Gas Test Atmospheres course covers the skills and knowledge required to effectively test areas for hazardous gases prior to work commencing therein. It is a face to face course. It is recommended, but not compulsory, that this course is repeated every two years to ensure that your skills and knowledge remains current.
By attending our Gas Test Atmospheres course you will be able to gain an understanding of how gases can affect people’s health and wellbeing as well as their ability to perform tasks safely and efficiently. You will also learn about the legislation surrounding testing for hazardous atmospheres within confined spaces such as tanks or manholes which are often found on construction sites. This information will help you understand what needs testing before any work begins so that everyone stays safe throughout all stages of a project from planning through execution and completion.

About The Course
MSMWHS217 Gas Test Atmospheres
This course is delivered over a 5 hour duration Face to Face covering the theory and practical, knowledge and skills required.
The total cost is $280 for the full face-to-face course.
A refresher course will cost $195 Face-to-face only

MSMWHS217 Gas Test Atmospheres
This course will cover the following topics:
- Type of Gas/Atmosphere to be tested
- Selecting equipment
- Identify hazards and implement control measures
- Interpret and report readings
- Take action for unacceptable readings
- Communicate actions
- Clean, maintain, inspect and fault find equipement
- Maintain records
This course is suitable for anyone with the ability to understand, read and write English to a satisfactory level for working in Australia.
